"Dean Pitt" was a friendly face to Penn students during the 1950's. His pleasant manner and sincere interest in everyone he came in contact with made a lasting impression. He provided guidance to hundreds of Penn students and helped them start their college careers. His wise counsel and genuine kindness will be missed by all who knew him.

"Dean Pitt" was a wonderful gentleman and friend to our entire family. He delighted me, Regina and our children as host to many parties at the Metropolitan Club-our sons still speak fondly of the great brunches before many Redskin games. We also shared many great memories of our days at Old Port Company in Alexandria. We will truly miss this fine man.

A long time friend, a "true Southern gentleman" in every sense of the word. An inspiration to thousands of University of Pennsylvania graduates who remember him with much fondness and high regard, a turning point in many lives including mine. Loyal, kind, always interested in others, he'll be sorely missed, a good citizen gone
