Dr. Robert W. Pointer

I just now saw this...Doc Pointer was the eye doctor of my youth for 10 years. I always laughed when he told me to put my chin on the "chopping block" for eye tests :) God Bless.

I want to remember my dad as a down-to-earth person who loved telling dry jokes, who couldnt get enough of my moms homemade chocolate brownies and ice cream, a person who loved to teach others how to water-ski or downhill ski, who loved to play golf with both his Florida and Wisconsin friends during his retirement years.
He was a dad & husband who was always around when we really needed him. Most importantly though, he was a man who followed Jesus to the very end; and near the end...

I never knew Dr Pointer personally, but my mom, a nurse in Sheboygan, mentioned him often. God bless the family and may they all see him again in Glory.

A wonderful physician and an amazing man who served as our family's ophthalmologist in Sheboygan, WI. He has been missed here. Godspeed, Dr. Pointer!

Our deepest heartfelt condolences to all of you. Praying you will sense God's presence today and you will know that you are sheltered in His care and valued in His love. It was special getting to know you through the piano lessons some of your children took from William and also the time William tuned your piano at your cabin in the Minocqua area many years ago. Sharon has kept us informed.

Never did he exhibit any arrogance or airs of superiority. Thank you for all of your contributions to my family and me. Dr. Pointer diagnosed a hemorrhage in my eye like a sunrise and quickly got help for me for my off the wall high blood pressure. Beautiful person.
