Not sure what to say?

Ann and Carol - I have so many fond memories of Bob: at harvest time, sharing meals, and even chasing a cow together that got loose on the Lincolnshire golf course! Our prayers are with you, John Ted, Mary Rose, Micah, and Luke

Ann. I was saddend when I read of Bob's death; had been unaware of his illness. I think my Mother gave him a permanent seat at The Pines counters; they enjoyed talking to each other. Then he found you and she was so happy for both of you. He was always so pleasant and cared so much for people. I know you'll find the courage and faith to get through the next few weeks and then be able to look back on the really great times you had together. Sincerely, Marilyn Jolly Eaton.

Ann and Carol,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. We have good memorys of the time we spent on your farm and at church. Bob gave Dad a chance to farm again. You'll be in our thoughts for a long time.
Love, Catherine and Deline Wright(Dendy)

Mrs. Porter,
Bob was a special guy who will be missed. Take care of yourself.

I am thinking of all of you as you are going through this difficult time.

I always liked Bob so much. Bob was such a careful listener and had a way of putting others at ease which I always respected.
Ann, please know that you are in our prayers every day and we look forward to seeing you soon we hope. Take good care of yourself in the healing days ahead.
Love, Lora Lee and family

We at the Champaign Park District certainly enjoyed getting to know you around the kitchen table. Bob will always be remembered as an honest, hard working man who loved his family. The Robert C. Porter Family Park at the corner of Windsor of Rising Rds. in Champaign will be developed as a natural area park starting next spring for all future families to enjoy due to Bob's willingness to see the need for natural areas and open space and his love for his family.

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Enjoyed visiting with him at CHS 60th year Reunion of Class of 1947 recently.

My mother tells me that my first audible sentence as a child was "Hi Bob!" which I said when he walked in to our kitchen on Staley Road. I'll miss you, Bob. My love to Ann & Carol ... my thoughts and prayers are with you.
