Not sure what to say?

Bo Powell got me involved with Johnny Seay, little did I know how much I would learn. And I wouldn't trade the experiences I had for any amount of money. Jeffrey Mark "Jeff Whistle" Horn. Now in Eureka, California. Facebook- Jeffrey Horn, and Pacific Waves Media Club.

I was given this drawing which was in Mike Smith ( Paris Coffee Shop) collection. Mike Smith was another legend in Fort Worth, TX. RIP in uncle Mike! His wife Ginger gave me this drawing Bo did in 2004. It is 1 of 6 called Comanche. Here is a photo.

I live in the house he lived in and get mail for him from time to time. I got curious today and found out his nickname was Bo. We named our dog Bo when we got him after moving in here. CRAZY coincidence. Did he pass away here? Someone email me. [email protected]

Still missed...

Today is Oct. 30, and I am truly sad to hear of Bo's death. There are so many things I remember, such as him getting me away from studying for a MBA accounting final to meet Jerry Lee; of he, Johnny Seay and me hoping a freight on Halloween night 1968, riding to Mineola, changing trains ane back to Cowtown. The years we had together at KCUL, KBUY, KPCN and Panther Hall will be always be remembered. Guess only Bill Mack, Jay Weaver and me are the only ones left from the Seminary South gang....

Remembering all the shows, miles, greasy spoons we ate in doing all the shows ,back in the 70`s. The backpacking we did in Canada, and catching freight trains, hanging out with ol` Sherman Kennedy, you will without a doubt be missed. remembering the good ol days at Bob Powell Display. I`ll miss you my friend.

Love and miss you Bo Powell.

Remembering the early years, the family trips with mom and dad and the legacy you left behind with your art. Like so many others, we have some of that art you created all over our house.

You lived life on your own terms and it's comforting to know you left behind so many people who cared about you.

We will miss you.

Bo Powell was a dear friend for many of our years together in High School at Poly. We also were in the Boy Scouts together and he befriended me in so many ways during that time. Deepest sympathy to the Powell family. Scotty Freebairn, Little Rock, AR
