Not sure what to say?

Mr. Pratt was an astoundingly dedicated person and musician; his ministry to hundreds of us through YFU Chorale opened up the world and music for me along with others. I will always be grateful. God give singing joy to his spirit forever. Carol Holtz-Martin

What a blessed teacher he was. He took a shy 8 year old, gave her a solo in Church choir, and taught basic breathing, and control through all the way to A Cappella choir at Pioneer. It was a wonderful room, great accoustics, and a talented, gifted teacher that brought the best out of all of singers. A great smile, wonderful presence. He will be missed. Class of '66. We performed Unsinkable Molly Brown, and Amahl and the Night Visitors.

It was a privilege to be a student and later a colleague of Bob Pratt. He continues to inspire me.

Mr. Pratt was a great teacher and fostered my love for music and musical theater. Even before A Cappella choir, I remember taking a music theater class from him - what a blast. Then the wonderful "King and I" as a senior, with Carolyn. Later in my adult life, I had the privilege of singing under him again in our church choir (and once at the Messiah sing). What a wonderful man. Always so kind and so professional. Oh my, and Humanities. So many memories. My deepest sympathy to his...

Dear Pratt Family: It was a pleasure being taught by Mr. Pratt. His musical expertise made taking Chorus the best class of the day. I thank God for him and may God bless you and keep you during this difficult time.

Nancy Beer Klintworth, Class of 69

Mr. Pratt was a good man, and a more influential one than I think he would have given himself credit for. As I look back on it, I realize that I spent many more hours in his classrooms than in those of any other teacher at Pioneer HS. The experiences he gave me in A Cappella, Choraliers and the Humanities Program were invaluable. Mr. Pratt comes to mind whenever I hear The Carmina Burana or a tune from South Pacific or the King and I, and whenever I try to think about what it must have...

We have nothing but praise and admiration for the way Bob and Mary Pratt mentored and developed the musical artistic skills of hundreds of young people including two of our daughters, Laurie Fox, and Carolyn Fox Inglis. With his expertise he took them to many countries of two different continents. This was a very formative part of their later lives and left their families to appreciate the skills they developed.

Thanks for all the joy Mr. Pratt.

2nd soprano,
Class of 1960 AAHS

From the time I first met Mr. Pratt, at an audition fifty years ago, he was "The Music Man." Thanks for all the music you spread around the world. It was an honor to sing under your direction.
