ROBERT PYLE Obituary

ROBERT W. PYLE, 81, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born in Bluffton, Robert worked as a warehouse supervisor with Chem-Rex ZBrick for 20 years, retiring in 1994. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and loved spending time with family and enjoyed traveling. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Carol Pyle of Decatur; sons, Jack (Jan) Pyle, Steve W. Pyle and Michael (Violet) Pyle, all of Fort Wayne, and Kevin Pyle of Decatur; daughters, Pamela (Phil) Maroney of Ormand Beach, Fla. and Bobbi (Dale) Compton of Fort Wayne; sister, Doris Tollefson of Columbus, Texas; brother, William (Margie) Joy of Fort Wayne; 12 grandchildren; and eight great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pyle; stepfather, Olin Joy; mother, Lula C. Joy; first wife, Sally Ann Pyle; son, Harry Pyle; and brother, Richard Pyle. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial in Williamsport - Poe Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Carol and family
So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the services because Gary is having surgery on Friday and will be home on Sat. Having a knee replacement. We are living at the lake now. May God comfort you and your family. Love Karen and Gary Metzger
