After a brief battle with cancer, Robert Harold Randolph passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 in Pensacola, FL.
Robert was born to Frank and Pauline Randolph in Mecca, IN on April 11, 1938 and was raised by his mother and stepfather, Jack Horoho, in Anderson, IN. He attended college at Ball State University before joining the Marines. After serving our country, he joined the workforce of McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach, CA and moonlighted as a Huntington Beach police officer. His career with McDonnell Douglas took him to Kennedy Space Center in FL where he supported the Apollo program and moonlighted as a commercial diver, then to Huntsville, AL where he met and married his wife of 30 years, Candi Williams Randolph, daughter of George and Doris Williams of Huntsville, AL. After retiring from McDonnell Douglas in 1995, Candi’s career took them to Carmel, IN where Robert proudly stepped into the role of “stay-at-home dad” to their two young sons. After the last child was college bound, Candi’s career took them to Marinette, WI, a town he cherished for its beauty and simplicity. In the mild summers, he loved to bike through the twin waterfront towns of Marinette, WI and Menominee, MI and during the harsh winters he dubbed himself the “Charter Performance Transportation Department”, shuttling Candi to and from work and lunch so she could avoid long treks through the cold and snow. In 2018, after 10 Wisconsin winters, the beautiful beach sands of Perdido Key, FL captured their hearts and became their new home. Robert will be fondly remembered for his wit, charm and intelligence by everyone he met. He loved champagne, Coors beer, nature, crosswords, reading, live music, biking, and above all, spending time with family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Frank; mother, Pauline; stepfather, Jack and brother, Robert Horoho.
He is survived by his wife, Candi; sons, Zachary (Dianna) and Nathan; siblings, William (Patricia) Horoho, Candace (William) Bertram, and Dennis (Vicki) Horoho; brothers-in-law, Ken Williams, Mark (Elizabeth) Williams, and Dan (Connie) Williams; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A small gathering of family will lay him to rest at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL on Saturday, August 15, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, Robert would want you to honor his memory with a toast of champagne with loved ones.

I have known Bob since the early 60's when he was working at Douglas Aircraft in California. He and my husband Frank had a long and lasting friendship. Hope they meet again in the afterlife. I remember Bob for his amazing wit and his off the grid jobs. He was kind and I will remember him fondly. His marriage to Candy was was a long and happy union and I know Bob knew he was fortunate to find someone so well suited to him. You will be missed Bob and the world is a sadder place today. ...

So sorry for your loss Candi. I am a cousin that remembers him from several years ago.
