Not sure what to say?

I will miss my Kat daddy

I’m sure my words are just an echo of what so many others have or will say about Mr. T, but it hearts my heart that I was never able to say them to him. I would visit him when I came home from college. Even then he spoke words of encouragement to me. He walked me through my parents divorce and trying times at home. He showed me compassion and kindness when I needed it most. Not just while I was 12 but when I was in my 20s. I looked for him after his retirement but couldn’t find him. I hope he...

Mr. Tomlinson was easily one of the most impactful teachers I ever had. He helped me to understand my calling - even in the 6th grade. God used him to refocus my life. As a result - I ended up in pastoral ministry for over 40 years, and as a college professor in Divinity for over 20 years. He and Mrs. Knox from the 4th grade both modeled Jesus in how they lived and taught every day! I am eternally thankful! Mr. T’s influence will never die as long as we continue to pass on the values he...

I just want you to know that “Mr. T” was a huge influence in my life. He helped me want to be a teacher even back in 6th grade. I have been teaching 33 years now. And we also shared a love for the Kentucky Wildcats. My first car was even a Volkswagen Bug like he used to drive to school. May God give the family comfort and peace.

I just want to say that Mr T as he was affectionately known by students at Hermitage Elementary was the best teacher, and influence on a kid's life. I can't say I loved many teachers but this was a great man.
