Not sure what to say?

To the family of Bob Recker: You share your loss as his colleagues and his friends these many years. He was humble, smart, kind, perceptive and a great friend whom you always loved to see and talk with. He was dedicated to advancing the clinical care of his patients and his devotion always struck me and inspired me - no doubt the way he inspired all that were around him. I offer my sadness at his passing and gratitude for the great life of giving to others. With sympathy and thanks. ...

What a wonderful physician and human being. He was my Internist until I moved away. He was a model for everything an Internist should be-kind and a perceptive diagnostician with practical as well as pharmaceutical solutions. It was always worth a laugh or two sharing current stories about what was happening with our beloved Bluejays. He will be greatly missed by his patients who appreciated his skills and caring ways. My condolences to Mrs Recker and the family for the loss of this very...

Dear Susan, Bob was one of the pioneers in the management of osteoporosis and his work clearly contributed to a reduction in pain and disability as well as death in an enormous number of older people in the US and in the world at large. He was a great scientist, a compassionate physician and one of the finest human beings it was my privilege to know. May his memory be a blessing. Etch Ethel Siris, MD
