Bob was a Kind Hearted man. We had many good times at the Fire Dept. meetings . Pray for the Lord's Peace and Comfort on you all.

I was fortunate to know Bob for over 30 years. I came to know him through the Rowan Aero Models flying club of which we were both members. Bob was always a great friend, and one of the nicest man that I knew. He was always helpful and I can say that a person couldn't have had a better friend that Bob Rector. You'll be missed by all.

Bobby was the first cousin of my dad, Olin Treadway, of Hickory N.C. It has been years since I have seen Bobby, but from my youth I remember what a quiet man he was and his dry sense of humor. My parents enjoyed laughing and joking with him whenever he was around. My dad sends his condolences to Bobby's wife, Rena, and their children, and to his brother, Jimmy, and sister, Gracie Rector.

To the family of Bob:
I knew Bob back in the days of Radio Control. He was a great friend to all and would help you when you most needed it. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in my friend.

Robert was a kind and gentle spirit. Simply being in his presence made one feel loved and at peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out especially to Rena his loving and beloved wife. She was a wonderful nurse, and constant companion to him these last years. Our sincere sympathies especially to Julie who kept 24 hour vigil with her parents these last trying weeks, and his beloved son, "Joey." Much love and prayers of comfort for Werth, Virginia, and Orin, who were there for him and supported his care so well. What a beautiful testament and loving example you give for all.
