Feerick Funeral Home - Shorewood Obituary

Born to Eternal Life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at the age of 95 years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Mary Alice Regner (nee Browne). Loving father of Thomas (Roberta), Robin (Richard) Ball, Richard, Anne Noble, Megg (Kevin) Malloy, and John (Sarah). Further survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Bob was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Marquette University High School, Regis University, and Marquette University Law School. In addition to being an attorney, Bob was also a CPA and a Partner in Anderson Worldwide, retiring in 1981. Bob and Mary Alice lived a full and exciting life. They ventured alone in their sailboat from Milwaukee to their new home in Florida, culminating in a four and a half month sailing journey. In 1998, they purchased a summer home in Door County, and in 2009, they both moved to the Milwaukee Catholic home. Bob’s Catholic faith was the center of his life. Additionally, his sense of humor was known and loved by all who knew him. Bob will be missed by a wide circle of friends in Punta Gorda, Florida, Sister Bay (Door County), Wisconsin, and the Milwaukee Catholic Home.

A visitation will take place in the St. Anne Chapel at the Milwaukee Catholic Home (2462 N. Prospect Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53211), on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00AM. A private burial will take place by the family at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob’s name can be made to the Milwaukee Catholic Home Benevolent Fund (2462 N. Prospect Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53211), or a charity of your choice.

Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about Uncle Bob - my sister’s Christmas card was returned so she googled him. Uncle Bob was best friends with my dad, Bob Zoller. They talked most days on the phone. When my dad died at age 73, Uncle Bob emailed me often and told me stories of their childhood- I have kept all of those. It was a source of comfort. Sending love and prayers.

I was so fortunate that I got to meet Robin (Ball) father this past fall in 2023. I had heard many great stories about Mr Regner over the years & I was so happy to meet him in person. He was a charming man who lived a great life. I admired how much he adored his wife & loved his children. My condolences & many prayers & love to his family.

Robert’s Dad, Lawrence was a cousin to my grandmother. Lawrence lived with her family for a while when they were young. The two burned down a barn, playing with matches. Away, wish I had an afternoon to spend with Robert. He sounds like he had a full rich life. Condolences to his family.

I well remember Bob from back in my Andersen days. He was a terrific person and always fun to be with.
