Robert was the medical director of both Respiratory Care Services, the Pulmonary Function Lab and Sleep Lab for many years at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center. I worked in collaboration with him as I was the manager of those medical inpatient/outpatient services for a number of years. I enjoyed walking with Robert for several years. He pushed me out of my comfort zone in several ways. He encouraged me to walk different routes. When we first started walking together, I walked only one route. Within a year, we had walked over eight different routes, many multiple times. Secondly, he pushed me to walk farther.
