Manville- Robert E. Robidoux 72 of Railroad Street died Saturday at Hospice St. Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. He was the husband of Doris R. (Michaud) Robidoux. They were married for forty-three years.

Born in Albion a son of the late Napoleon and Clara (Lusignan) Robidoux. He lived in Manville for thirty-nine years and prior to that he lived in Albion.

He was a textile worker at the Rochambeau Mill and also worked at the Draper Company now the Boeing Aviation Company in the Research and Development Department.

He attended Mt. St. Charles Academy and graduated from New England Institute of Technology. He was a former volunteer fireman and ambulance driver for the Albion and Manville Fire Departments and also was one of the first ambulance drivers. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and handyman. He was a communicant of St. James Church, Manville.

Besides his wife he leaves one daughter Gayle A. Cook of San Antonio Texas, one son Gary G. Robidoux of North Providence, three sisters Jeanne Martin and Cecile Lauzon both of Albion and Martha Cote of North Smithfield, two brothers David Robidoux of Cumberland and Roger Robidoux of Albion. He was the brother of the late Gerald, Fernand, Antoine and Joseph Robidoux.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:30 am from the Roy Funeral Home 1 Bouvier Avenue Manville, with a Mass of Christian at 10:30 am in St James Church Division St. Manville. Burial will be private.
