Evans School student `76-`82. Mr Rogers taught me the metric system, balancing chemistry equations, to look at people in the eyes when I talk to them, and do the right thing regardless of who is watching. He taught discipline, preparation, teamwork, respect, and on amd on. Thank you for being my Science teacher! RIP

Mr Roger's was a definite influence in my life. I respected him in his ability to teach and make you want to learn. Sorry I did not get to spend more time with him in my adult years.

David and I were good friends with Carol and Bob after we first met at St. Paul's Episcopal Church back in the 1970s. We worked on many Church projects together and enjoyed many good times with St. Paul's dinner groups. One thing we so admired about Bob was his zest and compassion for teaching and his commitment to the issues about which he was so passionate! He was simply one of the best teachers I ever encountered. You worked hard, you paid attention, but you learned more from him than almost any one else. I only regret I never told him how profound his influence was on my life. RIP Mr. Rogers and sign me up for my first class up there.

Mr. Rogers was my grade school science teacher. His classroom was always filled with fascinating books and displays. I remember when he married Miss Banko. Pretty heady stuff for gradeschoolers---Teachers dating. Great teacher.

Mr Rogers was my favorite grade school teacher. At first I was scared to have him for my teacher. But he turned out to be my favorite. Thank you Mr Rogers for your years of teaching. I for one will always remember your class. I was able to tell him this one time when I saw him at Arbys in newburgh.

I remember Mr. Rogers as our science teacher at Henry Reis. We all remember the sweet romance with our gym teacher, Miss Banks, and were so excited when they married. He was one of a kind! I am sure Carol will miss him most. We LOVED THEM BOTH♥ My best wishes for fast recovery from your grief will turn into prayers for all his loved ones.

I had the honor of being scorekeeper at several swim meets Bob was the official for.
He was always kind and appreciative of anything we did for him. He was also wonderful when coaches would bully me. He didn't let any of them give me any static and that was greatly appreciated.
He was a kind, caring and enthusiastic official. Spending time at meets with him was a gift.
