Rosenthal was universally respected and admired by all who knew him because of his iron-willed integrity and high character. Rosie was really a true hero and legend. He was inspiration to many and loved by us - the younger generation, also as by his men of the 350th and 418th BS of the 100th BG. My husband, a physician, clipped out the obit and showed it to me.
I never knew Robert Rosenthal, but I sent his obituary to my children and grandchildren. I want them to be proud of a real Jewish-American hero.
