Coach Rudd was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. His way of coaching from back in '64 at Airline is still a part of my life today. In addition to being a great player's coach, he was also a fantastic biology teacher. (I loved it that he assigned me two beautiful lab partners.) Coach also possessed a certain patience that surprises me to this day. He was one of those that set an example that we should all aspire to.

I was a student in Coach Rudd's classes at Airline High School. In the 47 years since that time, I have often remembered him as an inspirational teacher and a fine man. I am so sorry for your loss.

Max and his family go way back with my family. We played together for years
with other neighbors on Goodwill St. in
Minden! Max and Rogers played at MHS
together and then at La Tech. He was
an awesome teacher and coach, as we read about his career in these words
that have been written. Barbara, we
are thinking about you and praying for
all of the family. Jackie & Rogers Reeves, Haughton, LA
