Robert Rujawitz

Robert Rujawitz, 76, of Belleville, Ill., born Jan. 26, 1936, in Millstadt, Ill., died Friday, April 20, 2012, at his residence.

Mr. Rujawitz was a retired operating engineer, and a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local No. 520. He was a former member of the Anglers Club and the Quail Club in Belleville, Ill. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Janet M., nee Grimmer, Rujawitz, whom he married on April 18, 1959, and who died on July 30, 2000; and his parents, Orville and Florence, nee Muskopf, Rujawitz.

Surviving are his three children, Mark (Jane) Rujawitz, Renee (Michael) Roche and Lee Rujawitz, all of Belleville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Erika and Michael Roche and Brina Rujawitz; one sister, Betty (Wayne) Meyer of New Athens, Ill.; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral procession will leave at 10 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, from the funeral home for a 10:15 a.m. graveside service at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill. Burial will be at Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.
