Dr. Robert Michael, Russo, D.O., passed peacefully in his sleep while battling cancer, on Monday, May, 7, 2018. He had just turned 70 years old. Born in Easton, April 16, 1948, he was the son of the late Michael R. and Mary E. (Dotta) Russo. Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 32 years, Terry (Talotta), and one daughter, Brianna. He is also survived by a large loving family in both the US and Italy, countless friend and colleagues, and his beloved turtle, Millard. After earning his undergraduate degree in psychology from Boston University and serving in the U.S. Army, Robert found his calling to a career in medicine through his appointment as a staff officer for the Office of Surgeon General. Robert graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1979 and opened his own family practice in Allentown. Although health complications caused him to leave his career in practicing medicine, he was fortunate enough to spend many years pursuing what he was truly passionate about. He loved sailing and fishing, volunteering with local government, playing the bongos and harmonica, flying model planes, singing to his favorite oldies and cooking. Those who knew "Dr. Bob" know that his greatest love was making people laugh and brightening even the darkest of days with his bold personality and humor. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 2:30 PM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 1 PM until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth's Cemetery, Pen Argyl. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box, 152079, Irving, TX 75015-2079.

Not sure what to say?

Still missed, thinking of all the laughter and nonsense!!! Miss you my brother! Black Bush !!!!

Miss you my Brother.

Sorely missed, your laughter and sense of humor brought cheer to everyone around you.
Cigar's and Black Bush............... miss those times. FOREVER in my thoughts! Miss the phone calls- Bob , its Bob! always brightened my day!

So sad things ended the way they did.

Bobby, RIP my old friend... from PMC and roomate at the Jersey shore..Pen Argyl when the merry go round was still there down the road from Mike and Mary's ....and later in Philadelphia. Rooster still crows in the morning.

RIP my classmate.

Dear Terry and Brianna,

I'm so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. We started first grade at ICS in Pen Argyl and were together up to eighth grade. During those years, we were Altar Boys, and we were Boy Scouts in Troop 50. Also, Bobby and a group of our friends used to ride their bikes down to my house above Delabole and go swimming in our pool until it was time for my dad to go to work. My dad would load everybody and their bikes up in the back of his pick up truck and...

Brianna and Terry,
I'm sure this is one of The hardest days in your life.

I am sending you hugs and prayers for your comfort and peace.

I'll always remember Bob's sense of humor, which will, I'm sure continue to live on.
♥Sandy

Dear Terry & Brianna,
I am so very saddened to hear of your loss. There are so many "HAPPY" memories from years ago and holiday get togethers. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
Terry, I can't explain the comfort you, Bob & Brianna brought to me every time we were together. May God bless you and always keep you strong.
