Bob married us 40 years ago today. Even though God took us on different journeys, his ministry to us in Fresno, he was always remembered in our home.

Pastor Bob was my youth pastor at First Pres in Boulder, Colorado in the 70s. He inspired me in countless ways-with his stories, relating his life to his ministry, and bringing spirituality alive. August 1, 1974, was to be Bob´s first day as an Associate Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Boulder Colorado. What he and his wife Debbie didn´t know was that the leader of a two week high-school-age church camping trip to Canada and the Spokane Worlds Fair had backed out the night before the trip. I remember with deep appreciation how Bob honored my husband Chaplain Oliver Porter after he passed away on January 10, 2008. He had the congregation say "Amen" in a deep, thankful voice.
