Not sure what to say?

I am so so sorry for your loss. For me, Bob Santos was far more than a workmate. He was a friend, a mentor, and simply a good person to be around. I worked beside Bob as a systems programmer for twenty-five years, and throughout that time he was always the same: kind, thoughtful, unfailingly polite, and ready with a smile or a quiet chuckle. Even after his retirement, a core group of us continued to meet for lunch every few months, often at the Olive Garden on the Carlisle Pike. Never...

I tried to make contact with Mr. Santos 10 or 15yrs ago and perhaps I may have ran into him at post #109? He was an amazing modeler and very local to me so it's no surprise while reading his background. Even though I never met or chatted online with him he was a huge inspiration behind my modeling. Perhaps he saw some of my work at the Mechanicsburg Museum or maybe not. Either way he was an influence to me and my condolences to his family.

I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Although I had never met him in person, he was a good friend online. He was a talented modeler and was always supportive and encouraging to fellow modelers.

I met Bob as a fellow member on Railroad lines forums. His modeling that he shared on this forum was an inspiration to me and to others. Bob was a master in working with styrene, he could make a model of anything he put his mind to using styrene. I had the pleasure of first meeting Bob in person at one of the Craftsman & Structures shows in the U.S. in the early 2000's. My second visit with Bob & his wife Anna May, was at his home where I got to see his amazing work first hand. Bob was so...

In 1978 I was a neophyte in the field of military miniatures. Just moved here for my medical residency at the OSTROPATHIC HOSPITAL. My attention was drawn to an add in a military modeling magazine for SANTOS MINIATURES, too my surprise it was only blocks away from my apartment. That was the start of a friendship with a man who was brilliant in his ability to bring pieces of plastic to life in a meaningful and realistic manner. When I left the area Mr. Santos created a special miniature for my...
