Not sure what to say?

Heard Bill Cody on TENNESSEE WILDSIDE today that BOB had passed. Heard him and Martha speak at Shelby Park in Nashville So sorry to hear

I am so saddened to learn of Bob's passing. My first encounter with him was at the Hummerfest in Rockport Texas, where I was observing the banding of the little birds. After several times going through the line to hold a hummer in my hand as it was released, he said to me with his dry wit, "Do you live here?". The last time the little hummer left a feather in my hand. Bob, you also left a feather in my hand. Love to your family, they were blessed to have you, and I was also blessed to have...

I am sorry that I just found out. Bob made a huge difference in my life and I was always amazed that he remembered me when I would come to the banding in Fort Morgan. God Speed my friend.

Thank for your time and gifts of amazement you gave to us "lay people" with your work at the bird banding sessions. It was such a privilege to be able to drop in and observe the work you and the crew do, a treat to listen and learn not only about the many different types of birds, but to hear your stories about life in general, mother nature in particular, and an occasional "soap box discourse". I think I liked those lectures the best!!

The last time we met I wanted to tell you good...

A tragic loss, not only to your family and loved ones, but to everyone who shared your love of hummingbirds. You have touched the lives of so many, and we will forever fondly remember the times we spent we you and Martha. Rest in Peace, Bob.
