Not sure what to say?

Here we are.....2 years later. I can´t bring myself to delete the staff message he sent, praising me for great clinical decision making. Because his opinion mattered. He invested in us.

It´s been two years since the loss of this exceptional man. He is very much missed.

Jerry was a competent and caring physician. He was a valued collage of mine. He wore an engaging smile for everyone. Our world is poorer without him in it. Kent D. Miller, DO, MMM, FAAIM, RETIRED. Green Valley, AZ

Such sad news. Jerry was a great friend and a wonderful colleague. He excelled in both general and vascular surgery. I can attest to that personally as I got to assist him quite regularly when he first arrived in my hospital. He was an early successful adopter of using computers in medical practice, he designed his own program to boot. I had the privilege of delivering both his children. My only complaint is that the man did not know his own strength. The bear hug I got after each delivery...

I was an X-ray student at covenant, and Jerry as he told me to call him always remembered me and greeted me with a smile and kind words. I got in trouble once with one of the staff in X-ray because I greeted him by name in the hallway and they heard it But he had always insisted that I do so. That was over 15 years ago. I´m sorry for the loss of a man who didn´t let his title get in the way of his humanity and the lessons he taught me.

Jerry was a brilliant person with the very best hugs in the world. Hi family, friends and the medical community will miss him and his wisdom greatly. He was my wonderful friend for over 50 years and I am going to miss our regular spirited discussions. Heartfelt condolences to his family.

Jerry was a joy to work with and a pleasure to know. What a gifted teacher and physician. My sympathies for your loss.

It´s rare you see such humility from someone who was clearly an exceptional human being. He respected his work family, no matter what your role. He didn´t sweat the small stuff. Generous to a fault. Loved his pups. Loved his family. He will be missed.

Best mentor and teacher I´ve had in wound are. And an even better friend. I enjoyed his stories, laughter, and jokes. He loved hard. I´ll miss him so very much.
