Not sure what to say?

Something made me think of Bob recently and I decided to look him up on the Internet. I was so sorry to see that he is no longer with us, and surprised that he was a year older than my brother (who was 87). I first met him at UW-Eau Claire when I was a student in desperate need of financial assistance. I'm sure I was panicky and felt nothing could be done to help me, but Bob was calm and reassured me. He got me through all four years of college on financial aid and work study, and for that I...

Deepest condolences go out to Ruth, Tya and the Sather family. Bob was a beloved mentor who taught me how to fly, steered me in the right direction when I became lost in life and enabled me to become a loving father, caring husband and USAF veteran. Bob was quick to laugh, slow to judge and enjoyed living life to the fullest. I am truly blessed to have had the chance to know Bob. He will be missed dearly and never forgotten.

My heartfelt condolences to Ruth, Tya and their family on Bob's passing. I have very fond memories of Bob in Florida. Bob was one of the nicest people I know, always upbeat, positive and with a smile on his face. He had very impressive personal and professional achievements and cared deeply about his family and the communities that he was involved in. Bob will be greatly missed.

My heartfelt condolences to Bob's family on his passing. He was a dear friend for more than 50 years and I will miss him dearly. I very much enjoyed the many times I visited Bob, Ruth and Tya at their home where they always made me welcome. Bob and I took a trip to Tanzania in 1972 to visit my birthplace and I will always treasure the memories of our good times there.

My condolences to Bob's family. Bob was involved in Civil Air Patrol when I was a cadet in 1977 78. I rode with him one day in his Bonanza to Sheboygan and back with another gentleman and a cadet. He helped inspire me. I eventually learned to fly 20 years later and even ran into him at the Eau Claire county airport. So sorry to hear of his passing.

I knew right away, reading Mr. Sather's name, I'd had him as a teacher at Central Junior High. However, I was wrong, as his obituary indicates he was at North. I believe he and my Dad, Clarence Imislund, were friends at North. I'm sorry for his passing.

My condolences to Bob's family and friends. I had the pleasure of getting to know Bob through the ethanol industry. He was a tireless advocate for the industry. Bob was also a kind and thoughtful man. He will be missed by many.
