I bought a existing dry cleaners in Morristown on May 7th,1983. One of the first customers to come in that day was Mr. Schaeberle. I was told he was the CEO of Nabisco previously by the former owner of the business, but we had not met. I looked and looked, but could not find his shirts anywhere. This was my very first day as a business owner and this was not the way I wanted it to start. I was quite embarrassed to have to tell him that his shirts were missing in action. I worked as a middle manager with Mr. Schaeberle just before the merger with Standard Brands. I remember most the times he would take time to call me after a meeting and say thank you for the work that I did.

I worked with Mr Schaeberle for a number of years. He was a fine person, a real gentleman. You always had a good feeling after talking with him. He will be missed.

I worked with Mr. Schaeberle for 20 years. He was a gracious man even acknowledging lowly receptionists. My sympathy for your loss. We moved from NJ 16 years ago and from time to time would think of him, especially when wearing my Dinah Shore visor or drinking out of the gift glasses from the tournaments.
