Our sincere condolences. His was a life well led!

I was privileged to have some of Prof. Schenker's students in my English classes at Tulane--I always ascribed their special intelligence to Prof. Shanker.

Just a note to you and your family, including Chester, to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for listing us in your Dad's obituary. You all are so very kind and thoughtful. I know that we were listed in Vermont but was so surprised to see the listing today. Please give my regards to your entire family and please give Chester a big hug for me. Please contact me when you come to New Orleans.
