Not sure what to say?

I have thought about this awesome guy, many, many times over the years. Loved him as my Principal in first grade in Bridgeport and even more as my 6th grade teacher. He was there for me when my mom became gravely ill, and cried with me when she passed. Lost touch after my Dad moved us away, but I've never forgotten him.

I am glad that I was fortunate enough to experience the love and kindness of Robert. He was affectionately known by students and athletes at Bridgeport High School as "Doc". Dear Betty and family, we are so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. His contributions to the church archives will be missed and all the committees he was involved in. I know his family will miss him also.
We would have been there but we are still in Az for another month.

Dear Betty and Family: I am in Texas until May or I would be at the funeral home and funeral. I received an email about Mr. Scherzer.
He was always loved and respected by me and a very good friend. You are in my prayers. love/peace, Mary Jo (Moody) Doherty

Dear Betty, Steve, Kathy and family,

We want to express our sympathy to each of you at this time of making closure to Bob's life. We have many fond memories of Bob and the good times our families shared through the years. His encouraging words always meant a lot to us. We will remember all the humorous experiences we shared on Ardussi Street. Bob brightened our days with God's love. His talents and interests were a blessing to all whose lives he touched. We thank God for the gift...
