Bob and I worked together for many years at Linde. In fact when I was graduating from college in 1963, Bob was one of the primary people who interviewed me. Bob was a very creative engineer with a talent for quickly evaluating problems objectively. As others have said, I will always remember his signature laugh. It was truly unnerving the first time you heard it.

Who could ever forget Bob's "Gasp of Gusto"? He was one of the of the most well-rounded engineers I ever had the priviledge to work with. See ya on the Other Side, Bob...

What a great guy to have for my first boss at Linde. He was fun, fair , and challenging at a time when a young engineer needed all of that.

May he rest in peace.

Bob was my first boss at Praxair (Linde) in 1976 and I learned a great deal from him. His knowledge of steam-methane reformers was endless. During my first week, I was about to rush into his office to see what medical emergency he might be suffering from based on the sounds that were emanating from there. I was told, don't worry, he's only laughing, which happily for all of us, he often did. Rest in peace.

WILL ALL WAYS REMEMBER BOB"S HEARTY LAUGH

Started working at Linde in adjacent office to Bob's in Tonawanda (1974). He was a great guy, with great technical expertise that he was always willing to share with young engineers. Had opportunity to work with him many times over my career, and it was always a positive experience. Will most remember him for his sense of humor and his laugh "that could be heard 'round the world." RIP my friend.
