Robert M. Schippers

Robert M. Schippers, 87, of Pen Argyl, passed away, Monday, March 2, 2015, at Chandler Estates. He was the husband of Diane A. (Lutz) Schippers, together they celebrated 52 years of marriage this past July 29th. Born in Honesdale, PA, April 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Herman and Margaret (Melville) Schippers. Prior to retiring, Robert was employed as the Vice President of Operations for King Kullen Supermarkets, Long Island, NY. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II. In addition to his wife Diane, he is survived by a son, Brian S. Schippers and his wife SalliAnn of Bangor, a daughter, Charlene A. Schippers of Kunkletown, and five grandchildren, Roobert, Salvatore and Mylaina Schippers and Sean and Justin Pilc. He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 8, 2015 at 5 PM at the Guerro & Ruggiero Funeral Home, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com, 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a viewing beginning at 1 PM until time of services Sunday at the funeral home.
