Not sure what to say?

I first met Bob back in 2001 or 2002 through an acquittance and I was drawn by his wit, satire, and charm. We were both big fans of famous actors/dancers from the bygone years as well as the present age. He would tell such stories of dancing with Ginger Rogers (he showed me photos/proof) on a cruise ship and a letter he received from the famous actor Daniel Day-Lewis in response to Bob's worries about the actor's motorcycle driving behavior. I would receive a large manila envelope with...

I'm so sorry. I didn't realize that Robert had passed away! My late grandmother Paula Bland was a friend of Robert's and a fellow artist. My late mother, when she was a child, was the inspiration for one of his paintings, which he gave to my grandmother and I still have along with two others he gave her. May his legacy live on through his phenomenal artwork!

Bob was my favorite neighbor. ❤ In his droll way, he called himself TFA, (The Famous Artist).

The last time I saw him was in rehab where my late husband Bill was. On the Veterans Day event, he was sitting next to Bill. I'm not sure he recognized me, but he talked about his house, where he lived all his life.

I last saw Bob at the rehab facility where he and my Husband Bill were. He talked about living in his home on Peermont for his entire life.

Back in 1980 he planted rose of sharon bushes along my alley and in the front of my home. They continue to bloom every year, a lovely memory every year.

An example of his droll sense of humor: he'd refer to himself as TFI, The Famous Artist. I have some pictures he painted and posters, in closing a charming one of homes viewed from...

Bob was a good man, I was lucky enough to get to know him a little while caring for him prior to his passing. (I work as a CNA)
It is amazing, all of the things he has accomplished in his life.... and all of his artwork was so beautiful and thoughtful, most of the paintings he kept in his room we're of his late wife (I hadn't had the privilege of meeting her, but heard many good things)
I'll never forget him in his brown hat he always wore, it made him look even taller than he...

Such a wonderful person and couple were Bob and Annette.
Talent way beyond even thought possible! He painted our son, lost to leukemia and more. I cannot say enough for such dear people.
Bob, I want to see you and Annette in Heaven; please help us find you. Love, Kent, Ruth and Graham...1.30.2019

To your family members.
My mother met Mr Schmalzried at a Staple's store one day.
Proof is a letter he wrote to my mother.
My mother and father are 88 and 96.
I found numerous prints behind an old dresser.
I researched Mr Schmalzried and found he had passed.
He must have been a great man.
Blessings

As a portrait artist myself I was well aware of Bob's excellent reputation whenever I started my career. He was generous with his advice and once invited me to lunch to talk about making a living as an artist. I was sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace. Bob Daley

Bob was a very special, kind, witty neighbor and friend. He'd tell me was "TFA", The Famous Artist.
I missed him so much, knew he was in care, but only when my late husband Bill was in Manor Care, did I finally see him.
We chatted and he reminisced about the house on Peermont Ave., where he was born and lived his entire life.
I treasure the paintings and posters, especially a winter scene he gave me and the Church on Polish Hill.
I always think of him when I walk past...
