Not sure what to say?

Sorry, I am late with this. I ran with Bob and his followers, when he was training us all for various events on the West Milton track and in Troy. I learned much from him about running and life in general. Bob help me when I was going throuh a ruff patch in my life. Still to this day, he is the only American to ever win the 5,ooo meters in the Olympics. 1964 in Tokyo. Thanks, BOB..........

Robert (Bob) was a mentor to me teaching me things about training and running. We coached together and became friends over the years. When he wrote his book , I was one of the first to buy one from him and he wrote a very nice comment in it for me. Tears came to my eyes when I heard of his passing. I will miss his friendship deeply.

My husband, Jim Heider, trained and ran with Bob and others. Jim also worked for Bob at his sporting goods store. I worked for a short time at his sports complex. So sorry to learn of his passing. My sympathy to his family. Alice Behnken Heider Gilreath Chattanooga, TN

I was on Bob Schul's racing team in the late 90's Great Coach Great person. Was fortunate to have seen and talked to Bob two weeks ago at a concert at the Fraze Pavilion. John Hickey
