Robert  J. “Bob” Seary, 55 of Sligo, formerly of DuBois, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Clarion Hospital. 


He was born on September 22, 1970 at DuBois Hospital, he was the son of John E. and Ethel (Scull) Seary. 


Bob married Lori Cunningham on June 18, 1994 and she survives. 


He graduated from Altoona Computer Tech School in 1990 with an Associate Degree in Technical Computer Support. Bob worked for Computer Support & Associates, Inc. for the last 28 years, and was the Sr. Computer Technician. 


Bob had several different nicknames that people knew him by: Bob, Bobby, Computer Bob, and Taco Bob. 


He was known for being a jokester, he always had an open door and listening ears for his kids’ friends or neighborhood kids that stopped by his house. 


In his spare time he enjoyed working on vehicles, tinkering in the garage, his big-boy toys, and spending time with his family and friends. 


In his younger years he volunteered for the Sligo Volunteer Fire Department. He was actively involved in his kids' sporting events. 


Bobby coached Union Youth Football for four years, and he also filmed varsity football games. 


Bob is survived by his wife, Lori Seary of Sligo; two sons: Darren J. (Jessica) Seary of Sligo, and Eric R. Seary of Rimersburg; his mother, Ethel Seary of DuBois; one granddaughter, Julia E. Seary; four sisters: Paula (Mark) Strishock of DuBois, Annette (Greg) Murray of DuBois, Lynn Ann (Jim) Luther of DuBois, Michele (Rick) Lanzoni of DuBois, two brothers: Richard Seary of DuBois, Brandyn (Mona) Seary of DuBois, his father-in-law, Gary L. Cunningham of Lewis Run, Pa., two brother-in-laws, Michael Cunningham of Benton, Pa., and Tom (Amy) Cunningham of Cyclone, Pa., and numerous nieces and nephews.  We would also like to acknowledge his good friend and wonderful boss Fred and Kim Cherico.  He is also survived by his dogs Maverick and Axel. 


He is preceded in death by his father, John E. Seary, his paternal grandparents, John and Julia Seary, maternal grandparents, Kirby and Isabelle Scull, a niece, Jessica Swisher and his mother-in-law, Cathy L. Cunningham. 


Bob’s family will receive friends from 3-7 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Varner Funeral Home in Sligo. 


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in DuBois with Father Richard Siefer officiating. 


Inurnment will take place in the St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in DuBois.
