To the parents and family of Captain Robert Secher: I was set to replace him in November of 2006 but heard of his passing just one month before I could relieve him. There is not a Memorial Day that passes that I don't reflect on his service and how empty the world is without him. I knew Captain Secher As a First Lieutenant we were in bravo Battery first battalion 11 marines. We were known as the beast masters. I was a very junior marine and I was enlisted. The gentleman at the time Lieutenant Secher Was was an extremely good man. One of the things that he used to do is during our formation runs.
