To Bob's family: It brings much sadness to have learned of Bob's passing. My father and Bob's dad were like brothers. Growing up Bob and Edie were my cousins and I truly thought of them as my family. As we got older, we had not been in touch but I sure remember all the wonderful times in our youth. Edie, if you are aware of this post, please contact me as I would love to hear from you. For Bobby's wife and children, I am truly sorry for the emptiness you must feel. May the comfort of...

Shafer was a dear friend to me. I watched the Yankees play, talked football, and discussed everything under the sun with Bob over the years. I busted his butt over liking the "fins", on a regular basis but he was as loyal to them as he was a friend to me. He spoke about you kids to me a great deal as well when I had parenting woes with my young boys, hehe. I will miss your dad very very much. I am proud to have called Shaf. My friend. My prayers are with you all.

JuJu: We are so sorry for the loss of your father. You and your brothers and sisters are in our thoughts and prayers. This has been such a hard year for all of you. Be good to each other! Love, Aunt Bethie and Uncle Ron

Sending my love and thoughts to the family.
