SHAHDA, Robert "Bob," 80, a lifelong resident of Richmond, Va., died February 7, 2011. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Daphne Shahda Cochran; and his brother, Frederick Shahda. He is survived by his daughter, Roberta Shahda Mandrekas and her husband, John Mandrekas; his son, Brian Carl Shahda; his grandson, Joshua Carl Shahda; two brothers, William and Albert Shahda; sister, Virginia Puryear; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Shahda was the Richmond Branch Manager of Seniors First Mortgage. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 10 at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., where a Trisagion prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 11 at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Urban League of Greater Richmond or a Richmond area humane society.
