Not sure what to say?

Dr. Shannon, Captain, USAF was my commanding officer at Otis AFB in our Vet Clinic. Dr. Shannon was the best officer i ever worked for. His gentle manner and his association with his subordinates were excellent. Even at 84, I still think of him and his gentle demeanor. Rest in peace sir. My fondest time with him was his sponsorship for my U.S. citizenship in Boston.

My heart goes out to you, my lifelong friend, Kay, and your dear family. Your dad was such a good guy, and so accomplished--I have very fond memories of him over the years. He was so fortunate to have such devoted, loving care from all of you, especially Cora. He will be remembered with much love, Brenda (Gaba)

God Bless The Shannon family. Dr Shannon was a kind and gentle man. I met him when I was the secretary for Dr Altaf Karim. I would later see him at the information desk at Conroe Regional Hospital. His smile was so contagious.

Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi

Lord,
Make me an instrument of your Peace; Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning...

Robert was a very special man and a true gentleman. We volunteered together at Conroe Regional Medical Center and enjoyed his wit and interesting stories. I extend heartfelt sympathy to his family--he will be missed.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Mr. Shannon. My thoughts & prayers are with Mrs. Shannon & your family during this time.

I met "Doc" Shannon while he volunteered here at Conroe Regional. Our love for sports, especially baseball immediately sparked a great friendship. His humor, detailed stories and southern charm have been missed here.
Doc! You will be missed. And as we talked many times about our faith, we will visit again.
