Jan and Family ~

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time; may all your memories of Bob be happy and may part of him continue to live on through each of you!

Love and hugs to you all.

Bob and Jan opened their hearts and home to so many people and enjoyed wonderful friendships. Fall training sessions held at their home and the Tahquamenon Sled Dog Races helped to bring Mushers together and inspire a passion for the sport for individuals and their families. Bob's presence will be missed but, the positive impact he had on many lives will live on. We appreciated their hospitality and wonderful shared experiences that have left many warm memories. We will keep Jan and her...

We knew Bob and Jan through the Home Builders Assoc. My husband Bob was a window and door salesman and did business with Bob Shaw. We also had a mutual love for dogs. Our son Joe Boensch worked through highschool taking care of their dogs while they were away. We raised Coon dogs. Some of our best memories were of weekend camping trips in the Fall, to Barton City. We would train the sled dogs during the day and at night they would run the coon dogs. Our children and their daughter...

Bob was a true friend to me, willing to share his vast wealth of knowledge and when asked advise. Always eager to engage in a friendly discussion over our differences in politics ! You ran a wonderful race through this life my friend touching many hearts along the way, may your team be swift and your trails safe as your journey continues to a better place. Memories made with you will de cherished and in time will bring smiles and laughter. I will miss you..........

Bob and I grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends for over 70 years. We shared many adventures growing up enjoying hunting and fishing which we talked about and shared again over the years. Over the years we enjoyed their home in Newberry and their visits to Saginaw along with a trip to the Western National Parks. Bob, Jan and I enjoyed the same hobbies of wine making and geocaching. My dear friend will be greatly missed. RIP. Jan, may your wonderful, loving memories...

Marj and Jan and family so very sorry for your loss. Have you in our prayers at this sad time.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of this good, kindly man who was our neighbor for so long and was beloved of so many. I can see his easy smile in my mind right now. We're happy we knew him, and our hearts are with all his family and friends. Eric Guth and Ellen Airgood

My latest sun is sinking fast
My race is nearly run
My strongest trials now are past
My triumph has begun
Oh come, angel band
Come and around me stand
Oh, bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home
Oh, bear me away on your snow white wings
To my immortal home.
Rest in peace, dear friend.

Worked for Bob for 18+yrs. Great man to work for, fabulous friend to know, made me feel like part of the family. He will be truly missed.
