I happened to be in Springfield while dropping my youngest daughter off at Smith and read of Bob's passing. Reading of his death certainly brought back many high school memories for me, as his son Don was a big part of my life at that time. My condolences to the entire family and most especially Mary Lou.

Bobby Shea and my mother, Mary Murphy, were cousins. Each and every time I was with him, he made me laugh. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a true Irishman, and he was very proud of that. As a child in Chicopee, I would visit his parents and sister often. They would always talk about Bobby and his children. He was a fine husband and father. My sincerest sympathy to Mary Lou and his children. May he rest in peace.
