Read MoreI played with Bobby and against him. He was at Chrisman and I went to Truman. Great friend and great memories. I started playing base ball with him at the age 13. Great football games too. My prayers go out to the Sheetz family. My memories of Bobby and his friendship over those early years are dear thoughts that I will cherish forever.

I remember when Bobby Moved to Independence. I was in the 5th grade and Bob and I became good friends.He was not only outstanding in sports he was a very smart person. We have come a long way since Ott School in 1959. I moved to Liberty after the 5th grade and I havent seen Bob in 50 years but he was the kind of person you never forget and I never will.

My condolences to the Sheetz family. I had the pleasure of being "Bobby's" baseball coach for a short while about 55 years ago. He was an outstanding player even then. I am honored to have known him.
