Not sure what to say?

I´m so sorry for the family´s loss. Bob was a great coworker. Good natured, smart as a whip, sharp sense of humor, always reaching out to the new people to encourage them. I knew Bob since when I started at FERC in 2001. My condolences

On the one year anniversary of Bob's passing, I am reminded of the passion that he often felt and brought to the issues, causes and people in his life. Bob and I connected on many levels, in part because we took to heart the ideals we saw being forged as college students in the late 1960's. Civil rights and anti-war protests, world peace, freedom of expression and incomparable music. He held on to those ideals and I think a part of him may have wanted to return to that chapter in his life...

I met Bob in July last year and we shared music, movies, plays, conversations and meals together until just before his death. He biked many miles almost every day at the age of 68. He valued individuals in need and put his values to work with Rosa, Bob, and others. He was a good person. I am so sorry for his untimely death. And I appreciate the time we spent together.

Bob was the person who rose up, unexpectedly, and became a pillar of support for my Bob, and myself. We both knew him from bicycling, and he was a regular at the Thursday evening Tenley rides where Bob and I met. When my Bob was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, Bob S stepped up to become one of six drivers who took him to his daily radiation treatments at NIH for six weeks. When that was over, he immediately volunteered to continue as driver to take Bob to get MRIs every two months, which...

I knew Bob through work and had the pleasure of his knowledge for many years before his retirement. He was always gracious and personable. He was truly missed by FERC staff when he left. May his next ride be the Golden Streets of Heaven.

Matthew,
I always respected your Dad and enjoyed our friendly competitions in Takoma Park Soccer and Baseball and really enjoyed our "One Magical Season" wining that BCC Championship. God bless you and your entire family. He will be missed.

Just learned of Bob's death. He was one of the original Sycamoron gang. I'm sorry for Matthew and Martha.

I met Bob when I first came to D.C. in the 1970s, was living in a group house, going to law school and commuting on a bicycle. Everyone in my house called him "Bicycle Bob," and so he has remained in my memory. Some years later, we reconnected through our children who were in the same grade and schools through high school. Bob was still riding his bicycle as was I, but his riding adventures were grand even though he had suffered a number of serious accidents. His community contributions and...

Bob was unique in so many ways. A wonderful story-teller, an avid and competitive cyclist, caring and compassionate towards those less fortunate. A friend to many. Whatever his interests, he did them with 150% effort, including his celebration of life. He will be missed by many.
