Not sure what to say?

I had the pleasure of being Bob's neighbor for many years and we became friends over those years. We would greet each other when I was coming from work or, by chance, we saw each other in our back yards. He was a gentleman and a good neighbor. I will miss his wonderful Christmas letters which always made me laugh. And, I so looked forward to receiving those annual Christmas letters from him. I will miss Bob dearly. My condolences to his wife Joan and his daughters, Caryl, Lesly, and Lisa.

I have been blessed to have Bob and Joan Shepack as my next door neighbors for the past 30 years. Imagine having neighbors for that length of time without an argument, disagreement, or conflict of any kind, not so much as an unkind word. That speaks to the character of these wonderful people. Bob was a very special person, friendly and kind, with a wonderful sense of humor. That humor was very evident in his annual Christmas holiday newsletter update, profiling the past years memorable life...

Good bye, to a gentleman and a scholar. To someone who lived his life to the richest. Seneca once wrote " Man does not care how nobly he lives, only how long he lives. Although it is within all men's reach to live nobly, it is within no man's power to live long."
A noble man.
I am sorry, Joan.

Dear Joan and family –

We were fortunate to be inspired by Bob’s dedication and drive to enrich educational opportunities, and to engender the motivation for life long learning –
We were all blessed by his being in our lives –
You are in our hearts and prayers –

I had the pleasure of teaching ESL at El Paso Community College under Dr. Shepacks directrion. Friends and Unitarians in Austin Texas extend our sympathies.

ShepacK Family:

It was my pleasure and honor to have worked with Dr. Shepack during his entire tenure at EPCC. He was a man of vision, compassion and dedicated to the community college mission. My prayers are with your family.

Mr. Shepack,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in the USN during WW II and the Korean War and for being a member of the Greatest Generation. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Fair Winds And Following Seas

I was a student and Student Association Vice-President when Dr. Shepack arrived at EPCC. I had the pleasure of working with him during that difficult transition period. He was one of many who were responsible for taking EPCC from the Ft. Bliss baracks, to the current campuses that surround the city of El Paso. El Pasoans should not forget how much of an impact Dr. Shepack had on the education of their citizens. My sincerest sympathy goes out to his family on the passing of this great man.

Aunt Joan,
Roger and I send our love out to you, Lesly, Caryl and Lisa at this so very sad time. We will miss Uncle Bob and his wonderful personality and sense of humor. He has been an inspiration in my life and will live forever in my heart. Not only have we lost a great man, but the El Paso community has as well. Much love to all of you.
