First Chairman of Family Practice at UAB, I followed you in 1977. You were a pioneer in the rebirth of academic general practice... Your commitment to medical care for the poor at the new Cooper Green Hospital was a major achievement and the medical staff you assembled there was outstanding. Thank you for your kindness to me when I moved to Birmingham

Lanette I am so sorry for your loss. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
May God Bless you.

When my grandfather died I was working on a project there at AQAF under the guidance of Dr. Sherrill. I dearly loved my grandfather and had written a tribute to him before he died. I gave Dr. Sherrill a copy because he lived out the same virtues as my dear grandfather. I probably did not tell him why I gave him a copy; but it is clear that those who knew him noticed the same characteristics. May he rest in peace. My condolences to his dear family.

So sorry for your loss. I will always remember the Opera. I love you and always know that he is now a beautiful Angel with God and is smiling down on us. He will always live in your heart. I love you!
