Not sure what to say?

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since his passing. My big regret is our not staying more in touch over the years, as I did with a buddy from Clark Field, PI who lived in New Hampshire. We did make contact near his end, and I was most gratified when his son, Col. Shine, contacted me, and I was able to share and confirm Turner AFB stories with him - like the snake that fell in the boat, and a friend of Bob's shot it with a .45, killing the snake, but also putting a huge hole in the bottom of...

I remember Bob fondly. The couple of trips from Demopolis to Lower Alabama with him and the couple of times I stayed with him in his great bayside home - just a few of the good memories. May he rest in peace. Fr. Edwin Dill

So very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was my best buddy our last year in the Air Force at Turner AFB, Albany Georgia. It's spooky, but just last night I sent him an Email. It had ben 9 years since we last communicated and, then, I read of his death. He was a good friend and best buddy, and I wish we had kept in touch over the years. My thoughts and prayers for all his family. RC

Bob shine left a wonderful legacy for his children and grandchildren.also for those lucky enough to be called his friend. Thank you for your service to our country. With love from clay and mary breck graves and family

Bob was a good friend from high schooldays and remained so throughout the years that we have kept in touch. I may not make it to the funeral mass but will do my level best to be there Monday.

So sorry to hear of Bob's death. He - and the family - will be in my thoughts and prayers. Traditionalist that he was, he would appreciate the old Latin prayer: Requiescat in pace! Fr. Edwin Dill, S.T.
