Robert Gary Shipp Jr.

Our condolences to the Shipp family! He was a great inspiration and a wonderful teacher and coach. He will be missed!

Gary is our cousin. His mom Jean and our mom Dottie are sisters. We remember those early years when we visited Pittsburgh in the late 1950's and early 1960's and went with Gary to the dirt track racing oval at the Heidelberg Raceway. He just loved it, noise, dust and all. And oh, those pizza shop stops on the way home where Gary taught us the fine art of how to appreciate a really good pizza. He told us it is all in the crust. Gary was our 1st cousin. His mom, Jean and our mom Dottie were sisters. We never kept in touch during our adult married and child rearing years and beyond because life just got in the way as it usually does. We remember the early years in Shiremanstown with back yard parties and of course Pittsburgh. Gary and his Loving Wife were fixtures on the floor of the Giant Center. A Great Positive Role Model for All who were Blessed to know Him. May God Bless his Soul and Wonderful Family
