Bob was reminded me of some of the great Dad figures like Jim Anderson in "Father Knows Best". Those of us who watched the show, the reruns are still on TV. It showed the humanity of a family working together, just like the Shoemaker family. Bob was 100% family first but he was always very generous to others. His smile and laugh were ever present and he was at ease talking to people.
