Not sure what to say?

Sorry to be so late with this. I worked closely with Bob at Hometown Publications in Shelton. We did the Classifieds together for quite some time. He was a tremendously funny and warm person, with a big smile and stories you can´t forget. He often talked about his years owning the Time Warp comic shop and how it was the greatest time in his life. If any of the Time Warp Crew reads this- I want you to know just how much you meant to him. I would have loved a place like that to belong when I...

Bobby and I were born one day apart.....Mar. 31/Apr. 1....and our mothers were room-mates at Griffin Hospital. We lived all of our childhood 2 houses away from each other and were always the best of friends. Memories of him will always hold a special place in my heart. Lorraine (Alu) White

I am so saddened by Bobby's death.....He was born the day before me at Griffin and our mothers were room mates. My fondest memories of my childhood include Bobby, his dedication to the Assumption Boys Brigade and the fact that he lived only 2 doors away. Bill Dwyer lived between both our houses. His personality was one of a kind and my memories of the CYO minstrels where he was always one of the outstanding end men will always remain with me...........................and I could go on...

This saddens me as I have recently wondered how Bob has been as I haven't seen him in a long time. As a regular customer at Time Warp for years, I remember countless times visiting Bob and having great talks and good laughs. Great memories that will always last. A gracious man with a warm smile and kind heart. Rest in peace, Bob, I will truly miss you.

Bob Thanks for all the great Memories you gave the Time Warp Followers. You'll be greatly missed by all and remembered for all you gave the the community and Time Warp Kid. Thanks BOB.

My only dealings with Mr. Shortell were when he came to the Seymour Police Dept to report the latest news. He always made me smile and had a warm personality. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Bob gave a lot of kids a place to grow up and feel like they belong. I am proud to say that I was one of the Time Warp crew as well. His impact on all of us and everyone he met is a true legacy. My condolences to his family.

I walked Bob's store the week it opened and I was a regular for the next 15+ years. He was a mentor and a trusted friend to myself and so many of what became my closest friends. Thank you Bob for the trust, the friendship and the guidance. You will be remembered with the greatest of respect and fondness by myself and all the rest of the "Time Warp Kids" as long as we all live. Thank you!
