I met Richard at 10:00 AM on August 15, 1962. This was the first day in East Forsyth's history of football practice. The school hadn't even opened yet. Richard turned out to be the best football player in the area and won the top award at that time. As good as he was at football, he was far better as a person and friend. An absolutely brilliant guy who will be welcomed into heaven with huge smiles.
