Not sure what to say?

Bob was a dear friend and a highly accomplished colleague when I lived in Louisiana. He loved fun, was a good listener, and often offered sage advice, but his most outstanding quality was his tremendous kindness towards friends and his mother in her time of need. If there is a baseball team in Heaven, Bob will be there cheering for it.

It was an honor to know him and to hangout with him.

It’s in Bob’s tradition to wish his wife and daughter comfort among the mourners...

Dr. Sidman was a treasured friend of my parents and our family for over 40 plus years. We, the Norman and Lois Foret children, Maura, Laird and Danielle, send our love and support of Dr. Sidman's family at this time. Dr. Sidman visited our father, who also was a Hospice of Acadiana volunteer, when he was in Hospice care just this past year of 2015. Our family loved Dr. Sidman and always will. May his soul rest in the Lord God Almighty and may we have the privilege of seeing him, this...

It is with a sad heart to hear of this most beautiful and brilliant man's passing. Mr. Bob and his lovely mother were such beloved friends to the Norman Foret family. His presence on this earth will most certainly be missed. Our prayers are with the family he leaves behind.

Sincerely,
Maura, Laird and Danielle Cliburn

So terribly sorry to hear about the passing of this most beautiful, brilliant man. He and his dear mother were such dear friends to the Norman Foret family. We loved Mr. Bob and know that his presence on this earth will most certainly be missed. Our prayers will be with the family he leaves behind.

Sincerely,
Maura, Laird and Danielle Foret

We will all miss Bob very much, especially because he did so very much to keep theater alive and vibrant in Lafayette. I had the pleasure of working in theater with him over many years, going all the way back to the Eavesdrop Theatre and Lafayette Community Theatre period. He was always fun to work with. The last time we were cast in the same play was in "Twelve Angry Men," produced by the Wanderlust Threatre. He helped me get involved in theater again, for which I remain very thankful. He...

i got to know Bob through theatre. He was such a presence on stage and such a gentleman off stage. I remember how happy he was when he met Patricia. She was the light of his life. Sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in Peace.

To Patricia and family , As the oldest cousin my memories are mostly about Bobby growing up. I took him to many of his piano lessons, and he was so accomplished at the piano. He was indeed a good person, loved by his family, and loving to them as well. I will miss the little boy, and the fine gentleman he turned out to be.

If I could live a dozen lives, I could never accomplish 1/12th of what Dr. Robert Sidman did in one (1). Now my history book features a pair of great men who most honorably engraved their final moments in the real theater of life.

The theatre community suffered a tremendous loss with Bob's passing. He was the definition of a gentleman and a scholar. We knew and loved Bob as a tremendous talent on stage, a devoted husband to Patricia, and a good friend to many. I was always happy to work with him, and grateful for his appreciation and support of my work. He died doing what he loved. Bob will be greatly missed by all those he touched with his charm, his good humor, his intelligence, his talent, and his generosity. ...
