Robert Daniel Simmons M.D.

It saddens my heart to hear of this so late, Dr Simmons and his family were a big part of my life growing up, going to school with his children and spending a lot of time at their home. Dr and Mrs Simmons were both there for me when my father passed away in 1982 and there unconditional love and support will never be forgotten. I wish I had known sooner about the passing of such a great man. My thoughts and heart are with this wonderful family.

I was so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We were residents in plastic surgery at Rush back in the 70s. Bob took my dad, John, deer hunting and I was always thankful for the good times they enjoyed.

Bob was born one week after his dad delivered me, in rural Illinois. He was my best friend in high school even though he was a townie, and I was a country boy. We fished, hunted ducks, played basketball, played football, and had a good time in general! I will always remember Bob. To the family of Bob Simmons:My condolences for the loss of Bob. I knew the Simmons family growing up across the street from Doc, Esther and the boys in Kirwood, Illinois. My brother Bill and I were frequent visitors. Whenever I think of any member of the Simmons family it is with great fondness.
