Robert Royal Simms

Robert Royal Simms, 87, of Charleston, passed away at home in his sleep on November 13, 2016. He was born on August 28, 1929 in Charleston to the late M. Bernard Simms and Cloda (Jarrett ) Simms Bane. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing as well spending time with his family and as a Cub Master for his two sons. He was an Electrical Designer with Henry Eldon and Associates. . He was preceded in death by his parents; infant twin brother, William Simms; sister, Dixie Lyons. Robert is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Joyce Simms; sons, David and Billy Simms. A service to Honor the Life of Robert will be held at 1:00PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston with Rev. Ron Stoner officiating. Interment will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, Saint Albans. Family and Friends may visit from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the funeral home.
