Robert R. Simon

Robert R. Simon, 76, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Whiting Care Center.  Born in Irvington, he was a graduate of Irvington High School.  Robert was a US Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam Era.  After his time in the service, he worked for the United States Postal Service.  Robert was an avid sports fan and could often be found watching a game and drinking Schaefer beer. 

Son of the late Edward and Helen Simon, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy Simon; his brother, Phillip Simon and sister,  Phyllis Schmidt.  Robert is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Lisa Simon; his daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Ted Marshall; two grandsons, Andrew and William Marshall; sisters, Carol Niesz and her husband John and Joan Schmidt, as well as nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 31st from 9:30-12:30 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.  A funeral service will begin at 12:30pm at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
